Anker support is currently in beta. What’s that mean?

When we say Anker support is currently in beta, it means the integration is still new and we’re working on fine-tuning the automation. Some parts might not run perfectly just yet, but our engineers are keeping a close eye on all enrolled sites and raising any issues with the manufacturer’s technical team so they can be fixed.

We can’t give an exact date for when beta will finish, but we won’t move forward until we’re confident the automation is running smoothly for the vast majority of sites. In the meantime, you can still use all the features in the Devices tab once your device is successfully enrolled.

What happens after I sign up?

We’ve published this guide on the Amber for Batteries Enrolment Process if you want to take a deep dive.

After you’ve signed up to Amber and submitted your system details via the website or app, we will check that your site is all set up to join the SmartShift program. This includes making sure that you’ve officially transferred to Amber as your electricity retailer, that you’ve got a smart meter installed and that your meter is configured to record solar exports. All this has to happen before we can continue with the SmartShift enrolment.
