The BYD HVS battery is a modular, High Voltage energy storage module made with a cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate(LFP) chemistry, designed for residential and commercial applications It’s a scalable, stackable solution that connects battery modules in series and can then be linked in parallel to achieve capacities up to 38.4 kWh or more, offering backup power and increased self-consumption of solar energy. The system is known for its ease of installation, patented plug-and-play design, high safety standards, and compatibility with leading high-voltage inverters.

    How It Works
  1. Modular Components: 

    The system uses individual 2.56 kWh HVS battery modules that are stacked vertically. 

  2. Series Connection: 

    Each tower requires a minimum number of modules (e.g., 2-5 modules) connected in series to create the desired voltage for high-voltage inverters. 

  3. Parallel Connection: 

    Multiple HVS towers can then be connected in parallel to achieve much higher total storage capacities. 

  4. External Inverter: 
    The entire battery system connects to an external inverter, such as those from Fronius or SMA, to manage the charging and discharging of the battery and your home’s energy.
